2020 Vision

As we are on the cusp of a new year and a new decade, what is your wish for this time soon to come? If you had any wish granted, what would it be? For health, wealth, a new challenge or goal to focus on? How about 2020 vision? Psalm 67.

Would you want 2020 vision to see into the future so that you could walk perfectly in the way of the Lord? That you might have all the blessings of God?

God's blessing determines our course in the New Year. (vs 1-2) Our spiritual vision, our 2020 vision if you will depends on His mercy and grace to behold it and to enjoy it. But is it possible that God would withhold His blessing?

His purpose of blessing goes beyond our enjoyment. It is grounded in glorifying God and to demonstrate His plan of salvation. But God's blessing does not always come in the form we would expect. (vs 3-4) His goodness is a constant to be celebrated. His judgment is also a channel of blessing. God's blessing is revealed with our commitment to praise Him. But we must practice praise. His blessing is channeled through our praise. His purpose world wide is championed by our praise.

If we get off course and forget our focus and lose our 2020 vision, we lose His blessing. Not because He withholds it, but because we forget to serve God. We must draw a breath, consider our course in 2020, and let God's blessing reveal His glory.
